Ways to schedule
use of videos and DVD's: by phone (713-741-8781), by Fax (713-741-8775),
or by postal mail. For complete details, go to the

NOTE: During seasonal demand (i.e. advent/lent), the Resource
Center recommends a minimum of two-month advance reservation of
videos and DVD's. |

Rental/Late Fees:
|
A small rental fee is required for use of videos
and DVD's from the Resource Center. A late fee of
$1.00 per day/video or DVD will be charged for past due videotapes
or DVD's. |
|
Pickup/Delivery: |
You may pick up
videos/DVD's at St. Dominic Center or you may have them
delivered by UPS. You will be responsible for these UPS charges.
When returning the videos/DVD's, they may be brought back to
St. Dominic Center, UPS, or U.S. Postal Service (1st class or
priority mail). You are responsible for getting these
videos/DVD's back to the Resource Center.
The librarian should
be informed of the method of returning media the time of
scheduling. |

Damages:
|
Users will be responsible for any damages while in their use. The damage will be the cost of a
new videotape or DVD. |

Previewing:
|
The Resource Center is available for in-house previewing. Call to
make an appointment. |
|
Other
Services: |
MOST VIDEOS ARE PROTECTED BY COPYRIGHT
LAW. However, for NON-COPYRIGHTED media, the Resource Center offers a copying service. A
flat fee for this service includes the cost of the materials and
labor. |

Policies |

Catholic Churches, schools, and
parishioners within the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston may use the Resource
Center
International and U.S. Copyright Laws
protect almost ALL of the materials in the Resource Center.
They may NOT be altered or duplicated in whole or in part without
the prior written permission of both the original producers of the works
and the Archdiocesan Resource Center. Non-compliance of the
Copyright Laws will jeopardize your use of the Resource Center and may
place you in a lawsuit with the government. Neither the Archdiocese of
Galveston-Houston nor the Resource Center will be held responsible for
your infringement.

You may telephone the Resource Center
(713-741-8781) to book your videos or DVD's, or you may e-mail me at (
doconnor@archgh.org ). The
videos or DVD's may be picked up at St. Dominic Center or they can be shipped via
UPS. In turn, you may shipped them back UPS or through the U.S.
Postal Service (Priority Mail or 1st Class). You are
expected to pay for this service.

Although the Resource Center is
supported by the Diocesan Services Fund, there is a small rental fee for
use of the materials to help defray expenses.

The Resource Center is available for
in-house previewing. Call ahead to make an appointment, that way
you will know that your videos or DVD's will be waiting for you to preview.

The Renter is fully responsible for
materials in his possession. The rental fee does not cover damages
to the videos or DVD's.

Because we book materials according to
advance booking dates, any over due materials will be charged an
additional fee of $1.00 per day. Permission to keep videos
or DVD's beyond
scheduled date can be secured by telephoning the Resource Center ahead
of due date.
